Extreme weather can make one do crazy things. I, for example, bought four things from Zara and a down jacket from Japan while huddling under the covers rubbing my toes to stay warm on Thursday night. I even seriously thought to myself that a Prada puffer might be the best cost per wear decision of 2026 so far…for about three hours. Then I relented.
Last week was a weird week. Between client fittings, the wild world of parenting (one surgery, two bottles of cherry Tylenol, three days home from school), a blizzard and a Spectrum outage, I plotted an entire newsletter around wearing cool Olympic merch without looking like a poser. And then all the merch sold out!! Making said newsletter an incredibly annoying read for anyone actually interested in the topic.
