Happy fourth and final week of Workwear Month! Next week is already March. Can you believe it!? March we get back into the fashion fashion fashion of it all. But until then, we will round out Feb. with discrete-ish jewelry that can be worn everyday with a work wardrobe. Some finishing touches, if you will.
We have gone over so much this workwear month. Bright green! Suede belts! Pencil skirts. Perfect pumps. Tailoring in brown! But we have barely touched jewelry except for a few mentions of pieces styled in.
Jewelry can be an overwhelming category simply because of HOW MUCH there is to choose from and HOW MUCH money it takes to create a good base. And the criteria are intense for these more substantial purchases. Our everyday jewelry must support (not distract from) a work outfit, feel substantial enough reinforce your company position (or career goals) and hit the sweet spot of quality WITHOUT setting you back three months on your mortgage.
So today I compiled a very edited selection of jewelry in the five obvious categories: necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings and a fun little dive into LITTLE watches.
Now most of these pieces are not cheap, but they’re also not insane. For example, the conch shell ring by Jessica McCormack is only a 1/8th of the price of her diamond drop earring that I feel certain are on most or our wishlists. The idea was to find the pieces that feel unique, add value and are a good value, if you can even say that about something as intimate as fine jewelry. But there is a nice range of price considering the category and I hope you find something that speaks to you.
