What a great newsletter! I’m an avid catalog lover-I still keep a pile of 2000 era J. Crews for reference and remembering a time when simple but well-made utilitarian classics were always available. The perfect pant, the turtleneck, the blazer and your perfectly funny references. Chefs kiss to you-Fievel, the green room with mahogany railings. I just couldn’t love it more. You should have been on Elaine’s’ staff at J. Peterman!! 💕
I kept scrolling thinking “this is my favorite outfit” and then I’d do another zip and I’d find another favorite 💜. Love the styling. more ways to style a fisherman!
For the folks at Alex Mill reading this letter, I love your clothes, for lots of the same reasons Becky noted! Been a fan since 2019. My husband has a note in his phone that says “when in doubt, buy Francesca something from Alex Mill”.
Becky, thank you for including that plaid skirt from Talbots. My errands today took me near a Talbots and I stopped in to try on that skirt. I did not pick it up but I learned that their petites fit me perfectly and I picked up a plaid shift for an office party. This was an awesome find for me at a rtw store I had never thought to shop at before.
Thanks for the great styling options with Alex Mill clothing, which I discovered on cupofjo.com. I have the embroidered cardi in grey and you've given me new ways to wear it. One question: Why will you cut out the cotton lining on the blazer? To remove bulk? Make it less warm? Just curious as it's something I never thought to attempt.
That Officene Generale coat is sooo tempting! Can you tell me if it's lined? It does not say on the site.
I'm not sure if the one this season is lined, mine is but from a couple seasons ago. They make my favorite outerwear. So gorgeous. Great price for the quality...
Love this entire concept, esp the Nantucket Christmas / not cold fantasy! 😉🎄 And the Attersee "cocktail pants" - those are something I've very specifically needed and could not find - thank you!
Love the first sweater...but I have vowed not to buy any more...I have so many! Discovered Alex Mill on Cup of Jo as well like Sharyn...I have a wonderful heavy cardigan from them...with pockets! The only thing I will say is I think the black pants need to be hemmed...I know that is a look, but SO much better hemmed, in my opinion!

WHAT AN HONOR. And you know that J.Peterman is real and still puts out those catalogs right?! https://jpeterman.com
Yes, but I like the idea of you working with Elaine and Mr. Peterman (as played by John O'Hurley)!

An ideal collab post. I’m such a fan of Alex Mill and this made me like them even more!
Don’t give up on vintage knits!! I have some incredible ones, you sometimes just need to dry clean them or give them a good air
I feel like I've tried literally everything. Soaks. Air. Dry Clean. Someone help!!!!!
Without a doubt my fave newsletter of yours yet! Head is spinning with outfit ideas.
Thank you!!!
Omg THANK YOU for the turtle notes. I get literal panic attacks from regular turtlenecks and am excited to try out this alternative.
TOTALLYYYYY!

Adorable all around — but more tricky than the turtleneck was the choice between Ben and Noel!
Impossible choice!
Delightful as always!✨
What A delightful post! I learned so much. Thank you and happy holidays to you and your family.
This was so fun and I loved (and want) it all!

everything is GREAT, sexy black skimpiness with workpants and then blazer....divine.
Ohhhhh, Becky. I think you've sold me on those Alex Mill pants. I can see exactly the hole they'd fill in my closet. ( insert grimace emoji here)
And I'm still rolling on the floor at the Fievel Goes West reference. 🤣
