Hi Becky - could you do a post on what to wear to kid school events? My son has actual influencer moms in his classes as well as kids whose parents own major fashion labels. I always feel like Iām dressed wrong š. Thank you!
So funny, I was actually thinking about doing a post on this, I have a bunch of notes written out. But not sure it will happen until next fall because I have so many fun things lined up. But I have a few Sept stories that will fit this bill. I will say for now, ignore all the labels! Some people just use them as armor...more on that though another time.
Upvote speedo for actual athletic swimwear - everything else is worse in the water, ages poorly and risks a boob slip for lap swimming. Have never considered for a fashion moment!
The green Jimmy Choos are dead ringers for a pair of Sigerson Morrison sandals that I had around Y2K (canāt remember the exact year). They had the same shape heel and also some acid green on them! Hadnāt thought about them in a long time until I saw your post.
The Women is soooo good! As one who lived through that era, she really captured it so well I thought. Second half not as good IMHO. Didnāt seem realistic that she Frances would end up there. š¤·āāļø
I plowed through about 150 pages last night, will finish tonight. Agree though so far. First half amazing. Can't wait to report back after I finish. I always have this weird deep sadness finishing a book. So glad I'll have somewhere to get it off my chest. HA!
Thank you SO MUCH for giving us West Coaster's a break on your Sunday fab finds! I was kind of hoping you would give us your thoughts on Left On Friday- I can't do non supportive swimwear but the MNX looks fabulous on you!
I wouldnāt recommend Left on Friday either ā Iām a 30DDD and found their suits smoosh rather than lift. Super disappointing. The best Iāve found are Malia Mills and Monday, FYI!
Left on Friday got me and I would not recommend. Pieces stain from sunblock easily and the sizes are really small in a 34B and need a Large top. The reversible aspect is cool but the edges arenāt clean and tend to lie weirdly.
I just got a bathing suit from Hunza and it feels really supportive. I canāt do thin strap bathing suits either, my boobs will knock the straps down š
I ordered the Maya and the Square Neck Coverage suit. I kept the Maya because the straps of the square neck one were too wide. The Maya has cross-straps so wonāt slip off my shoulders.
Good to know. I have a two piece from Hunza. But the bottoms too skimpy. I think I will swap out for a full coverage bottom, bc agree, the top is so good.
I bought the long sleeved LOF rash guards this year and I do like them! I love wearing neon in pools and I just couldnāt find a cropped hot colored rash guard other than LOF. Agree on the tops being super small and unsupportive. I like the high tide bottom.
I just read the Women as well it was so good. The clothing item that stood out for me was her combat boots; kinda made me want a pair.
Also youāre making me realize why Iāve been eyeing a pair of acid green Birkenstock Madrid sandals. I guess the color has filtered into my subconscious. The Jimmy Choo shoes look great on you.
I purchased and love the pink slip and now I guess I need the swimsuit too! Thanks for the Alex Mill shorts rec- Iāve been looking for something just like that. And, lastly, love an Alix of Bobemia shout out. Sheās a real one in the industry. A wonderful person and makes every piece by hand.
I have a wedding invite that reads smart beach casual for the rehearsal dinner and Iām a teensy bit flummoxed. Your looks here seem like theyād work? Would the shorts and tank be too casual?
OMG so comfy. They are SO well finished. Like the inside is just as nice as the outside. I am so excited to wear them all fall and winter. And they seem like they're the type of thing that I will be able to take to the shoe repair to clean up for years and years.

Mine came and I did not even try them on. Donāt love the seam treatment and they looked skimpy. Darn it!

I havent tried because the thighs look SO high cut which is something I do not enjoy....
