Ok seriously nothing excites me like the thrill of putting my kids in front of the tv, pouring a huge mug of hot coffee and reading this newsletter and literally clicking on EVERY SINGLE LINK. So Becky thank you so so much for making something that I will sit down and ignore the endless chore list for!! I love this so much, I’m inspired and grounded! I’ve been really sad about dupe culture lately. The real thing literally puts a pep in your step!! And I think the conversation should be about going back to the original muse instead of buying a dupe of the designer iteration!! Ahhhh !! Ok have you been into a BV store before? There is one in SF where I live and it’s like a museum and the staff is so incredibly friendly. I’ve bought a few bags and shoes there yet they have literally let me try on clothes with two kids in a stroller in the past. Just a nod to the wearability and relaxed energy around pieces of art. When you touch and feel these clothes nothing will compare.
My favorite newsletter yet. You took exactly what I was trying to do in my own closet and put it into words. I am struggling with proportions and not wanting to wear combos that I previously loved. And now I see it’s because of the BV effect I had no idea I was under the influence of! Will be returning to this one all fall and winter (and bc I live in SF spring and summer, too).
Thank you for a great newsletter ♥️. I don’t love dupe culture so really appreciate the motivation here to seek inspiration from the collections and interpret the spirit of it. I have too many clothes which I love so finding ways to reimagine them is exactly what need🙏🏻
I am traveling in Italy and have just spent the weekend in Florence where I was able to ogle all of the fashion here in real life! There is so much to see here in the shops- and on the streets. The Prada store here had the most stunning peach silk organza floral skirt in the window and even my husband commented on it. It is TDF, of
course, but at $5500 it will not land in my closet. Loved this newsletter for the accessibility of the styling for us everyday fashion lovers who don’t have the desire to spend $5000 on a single piece but nonetheless appreciate it so much? does that make sense? You have some gems here and I am grateful to you for highlighting mixing colors, shapes and layers. I love fall dressing and FWIW there are lots of tan leather jackets on the streets here. And thankfully V few skinny jeans. I did buy two gorgeous scarves that I will use extensively going forward! Grazie Becky!
This is one of your best newsletters yet with so much insight into design. I have gleaned so many ideas for new outfits from pieces I already have in my closet that I purchased on your recommendation in your previous newsletters. The one new piece for me today is that perfect color COS shirt since the fabric combo is also ideal.
I appreciate your ChatGPT comment, too. You have been beyond worth the cost from day one and I am happy I can support your work.
Oh wow, I didn't even realize I was saying it. Before I had this newsletter I was a market editor for 18 years. Which is the fashion editor at a magazine or newspaper whose job it is to source all the clothing and trends. So the person who is out meeting with the brands, looking at the clothes and for lack of better description "shopping" before the clothing is in stores. In the industry the shopping is called doing market. Which is so part of my vocabulary at this point I forgot I was using very industry terminology! Long winded answer to say...I was browsing and shopping. :)

Me too! So so good. And I love that BV store. They are sooo nice!!
I can get so intimidated in stores like that but they’re so nice!!! It’s unusual and approachable

What a great Sunday morning reading! Thank you.
Yes, came here to say what Nikki said! Best newsletter yet, making end of summer land a little easier. You are very good at this, thank you Becky!

Off to channel the Miami version of this spirit!
This post was so dreamy and I loved the color combo and texture ideas! Quick question for Becky… what size did you take in the COS shirt? Thank you!
I have been on the look out for a pull on waist flouncy skirt not in black and not $500. Any brand suggestions?
I love this and everything about it. Saving for inspo!
Fabulous! Love the color stories. Question: what does it mean to “do some supplementary market”?
