Hard agree on the 'tights dry quicker than trousers' point. One day over New Year, I was wearing a glorious russet-coloured midi dress, and we got caught in torrential rain on the way home from dinner. By the time we got in, I looked like Lizzie Bennet after she'd walked to Netherfield Park (alas, no Mr Darcy waiting for me!)
We are on the same wavelength since Nor Cal and Lake Tahoe (finally) are getting hammered with rain this El Nino year. My Ilse Jacobsen raincoat is fab and hooded BUT does not fit bulky layers underneath (it's only flaw, truly) so I have been looking at some options online and it is very hard to tell that particular aspect. Thoughts? The Mackintosh perhaps? Thank you!
This was the best. I live in Seattle and although the fashion scene here is pretty non-existent I’m excited to shop for a fabulous hooded rain coat. And definitely going to try the skirt idea too. Thanks!
Loved this! Please can we have a newsletter on what you wore on the plane/for travel days? (I still think about a travel look u posted on insta lst year maybe? Light blue trousers/ grey sweater/camel coat?) Thank you!
Do you have any other purses you'd recommend for as you say "pounding the pavement" in big European cities like Madrid? I liked your recommendation but am going in the summer and so was hoping to find something not black. Thanks!
Thanks to you, I’ve discovered Kallmeyer and have a question for you. I’d like to get a pair of their trousers. You seem to mostly have black pants. Do you ever recommend buying navy?

Loved this post! Rain always throws me a curveball when traveling...you have shifted my thinking!

Becky I bought 2 pairs of the Snowpeak insulated pant. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made!! Thanks so much.

Norwegian Rain raincoats are gorgeous and truly waterproof!
Thanks Becky. You always inspire. Can we get a closet tour?
Any other suggestions for boots besides the toteme ones?
I'm sorry if i missed it but which coat is the one you're wearing in the first photo!? Love this!
Any recs for solid tights? We’ve had so much rain in the Bay Area! I’m praying we get a break and warmth soon!

Helly Hansen is making some stylish (and great priced) more “urban” style raincoats too: https://www.hellyhansen.com/en_us/w-urb-lab-rain-jacket-53954?color=631259
Does anyone know if jackets from the brand “Rains” are any good? Thanks in advance!
