Enjoy wearing your sandals with socks, but I won’t be participating in the trend. In my mind, however old fashioned it may be, sandals belong on bare feet. If the feet aren’t ready for exposure, or it is too cold, I would wear closed shoes! 😉
I was always a "no never" on this, but I was curious, and one night in Maine I was playing around and put a lavender sock under my silver sandal. I thought it looked weird, but then my hub was like, "oh sh*t our dinner rez; we have to leave right now!" So I went (he gave me the weirdest look) and really loved that I was so cozy but in my cute sandals. And in the pix from that night I loved how it looks. Have been a convert ever since. Thank you for these detailed how-tos and I love insights like "I first tried this outfit with a white t-shirt and it felt SO wrong...." because they help teach me to fish. XO. Also a hugger; hope to catch you in NY this summer.
As someone from MN, a reference to the 10,000 Lakes Festival was not something I was expecting! That gave me a good laugh this morning. These are great tips for spring... although it is snowing at the moment.
I'm always curious about causally walking in socks with sandals (as in, for the day vs going to a party and not really walking much) particularly with slides. My toes tend to 'grip' and I feel like they wouldn't be able to, they would just slide right out.
I grew up in Berkeley, California which is one of the homes of socks and sandals and lots of other bad fashion. I moved to NYC to get away from all that. So, with all due respect, I will see you on the other side of this particular trend! 🤣
You look particularly adorable in the first look--- olive green suits you! And ALL the ensandaled socks look totally precious! My mind took a bit of a hit on date night, but our marriage is unfamiliar with the concept, although we did dine out for our 52nd anniversary last week. Complimentary champagne!

So great! Love the Row sandals, but just can’t stomach the price tag. Can you suggest anything similar but more reasonably priced?

Those Row sandals are TDF; tried them on at Neiman’s in SF yesterday and they are sooo good. 🙈And the Tom Ford’s are exquisite as well!
