Hi Becky! I love your newsletter and style!! Have you ever considered a “cafe leanda” style link (like cereal aisle has) with had all your fantastic finds on one shopping page, searchable?? I’m in the market for a pair of simple flats and i remember them being in one of your edits but couldn’t remember which one! I think it would make business sense, too...which is always good!!
I work around the corner from Zara on Fifth Avenue so I went and tried on the Zara Marines. Sadly not a winner for me. The quality just felt too low and it just didn't have the stiffness that I expect from this shape of jeans. I think I am gonna keep a look out for a sale on the Apiece Apart Merida pants.
Interesting, thank you for the feedback! I found the fabric ok! But I definitely prefer to keep the waist area covered in them, so I can see what you are saying. Good luck with the Apiece Apart and keep me posted on how you like them! I've struggled with the waist fit in their pants in the past, but always worth another shot.
Becky - I just got my Zara Marine Straight jeans in the mail today after ordering them per your rec and they’re everything! The super high waist is perfect for my long torso and the slightly cropped wide leg hem screams Effortless-Summer!
Thank you for doing the lords and helping to bring these pants to my closet! I am extremely picky when it comes to shopping and was not disappointed!
thank you for writing about guns. is so crucial that we change the legislation around this for all of our safety.
WHITE pants - a little scary on NYC subway, but want to try! my question is about drawstrings - I obviously like the adjustability, but worry that the little "bow" of string add bulk and messiness when under a think sweater or shirt - sort of like the string is visible through fabric. yes I could tuck it in - uncomfortable! just cut it out and rely on the elastic? what to do?
Ok, SO. I basically just let them lie and dangle a bit. And I don't wear anything super tight over the top of the waistband. Either a flowy or boxy button down or a t-shirt that is a bit stiffer and sits away from the body...I know, we are still working on t-shirts! :)
Thank you for making that donation!!! I love to see it. All of us that care about the safety and mental health of kids, teachers and our police force need to be making donations and calling our congressional reps!
Becky, your tips are just the best! I have a huge credit at Everlane and so ordered those. I am going to check out the Zara ones (though I really try hard to avoid fast fashion). And take it from me, you are so smart to protect your feet and be picky about shoes. I am old enough to be your mother, have foot issues that I am trying to unwind now and just ordered the L"amour des pieds in tan as navy was sold out at Nordies. Thank you also for the Everytown donation. I am a native of SF and we are all freaking out about the tragic killing of Bob Lee. Heartbreaking!
White pants are my spring/summer uniform. Other great options include Lilly Pulitzer which has terrific white pants (I like the Kelly stretch and own four pair). But also just snagged some white linen utility pants from the Gap which are going to be in my constant rotation.
I just admire your page and always save some of the pics for outfit inspo ! Hoping to share my fashion sense soon too ! Thank you for your contribution !
This is so helpful. Of course I want them all! Question about the fit of the doen trousers: does the waist stretch out at all with wear, or have very little give? Is 4 your true size or is this one size up for you? Thank you!!
I definitely don't think these will stretch much. I tend to be between a 2-4 in pants. I think if you are on the cusp, size up. In white pants, too tight is never a great look. :)
Thank you for the donation to Everytown for gun violence and for talking to all of us about it!
Thank you for the donation. We want all of our kids to ge safe.

I would LOVE to one day! Anyone here know how to build a website!? :)

Becky, what is worse than trying to buy white pants that can be washed? Only buying swim suits! Thank you for the edit. I will get on this!

Thrilled to hear it. I've literally worn them the last three days straight.

Thank you for being here. So glad my tips are helpful! And I am reading voraciously about the Bob Lee story as well. It's so heartbreaking and scary!
Vita Kin is gorgeous! And very dear; I just checked out her work on Matches.

Looking them up now!!! Thank you!

I love the high sport polo, but not the price tag! Any other suggestions for a similar look?
Me too! Love but so pricey.

Oh yes good point. Thank you! I am one year postpartum so finding the right size is a real struggle
