5 Great Things / June 2025
It's sale season and there are deals to be had! Like the perfect bodysuit, a weird little wedge, a site-wide sale that meets the vibe, and the best little sporty trim
Good morning! Rounding out June with a 5 Great Things that are giving high summer energy. Gentle reminder that this email will be visible to paid subscribers only today, and open up to everyone tomorrow. Only fair you get a head start (especially on sale finds!) for your support. <3
No.1 An Epic Bodysuit
that is not cheap but on sale!! Ordered this when LMC forced my hand this spring and it is a four season winner. Very into it with jeans and a little sandal these days for dinner. But will be quite elegant with black pants come the fall. It’s low cut in the back but not so low you can’t wear a bra…but also thick and constricting enough that you might not need a bra? Some styling ideas:

No. 2 Chic Beach Towels For Us All!
These Helen Kaminski beach towels are giving me one part The Row and one part my grandma who used everything she owned until it was so threadbare we had to force her to part with it. MEANING, we used textured terry towels like these (circa 1970) at her house for a good four decades. I’m thinking one rolled up might be a cute hostess gift. Or for yourself for an impromptu sunset picnic or beachy day trip. Will look great on Instagram under your umbrella.

No. 3 Best in Sport-tee
Who doesn’t love a little raglan baseball tee? Old school sport styles like said tee and the sporty trim on swim (see here) are trending at the highest echelons on the market…but this feels like one where, with a little digging, you can make work in everyday, sweat-friendly prices. I stumbled on this Old Navy raglan tee last week when I ran in the store to take a phone call - I truly cannot leave anywhere without buying something! - and $10 later walked out with this tee and have since worn it many times.

And then there is all that Miu Miu sport swim trim going around! No.3 is really all about the Old Navy tee above but I just couldn’t keep the below swimsuit to myself. I was trying to get her for our swim letter a couple weeks ago but shipping was majorly delayed. But she finally arrived and I am quite pleased with myself.

No.4 A Weird Little Wedge
Not sure what to say beyond, sometimes I just like a bizarre little shoe! Remember my neon pink Chanels? Sometimes a weird designer shoe (especially in the summer!!!) can be good fodder for the simple, everyday linen shirts, cotton shift dresses and gym shorts that we put on when it’s too hot to think. This summer’s microwedge is a real thing - the Le Monde Beryls are basically fully sold out. I’ve already sold you on the Tory Burch Sublime flip flops and now these little leopard YSLs have piqued my interest. Also…I found them for half off on Cettire in a full run of sizes. And we really love that! I’m realizing, after putting this all into words, that I’m drawn to saucy shoes like this because I hate stripping down in the summer. I want to stay covered most of the time. So a shoe like this makes me feel like I’m participating in the summer heat in all meanings of the word without giving up my t-shirt…ya know!?
A Sale For The Summer Vibes
Antik Batik is not a new brand but it is experiencing a resurgence in…my attention. They do fantastic effortless summer prints that make one feel as if they just stepped out of a Sant Tropez flea market. And the majority of the site also happens to be on sale. I just bought this shirt and bag on Thursday. And I know someone with their eye on this top. Overall a good place to scratch that summer itch without falling into fast fashion.

Thats all for today folks. I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July holiday to those stateside. Never been a more important time to fight for our country and remember that the American flag is for all of us.
I’m taking some time off to be with my family this week so there will be no newsletter next week. See you back here in July where we will be talking about jean shorts. Tops for jeans (and jean shorts!) and much much more.
Yours TRULY,
Becky
“Never been a more important time to fight for our country and remember that the American flag is for all of us.” I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for this weekly place where we can escape our anxieties for a time and appreciate some beauty.
The Khaite bodysuit does look absolutely perfect but I can’t swing the price point. If anyone has recommendations for an alt, I am all ears!
That Antik Batik blouse and the low-heel Jimmy Choos are calling my name…
Stopped mid-newsletter to grab that Antik Batik purple shirt. Wonderful 4th of July comment.
